Requirements

  • 18 years of age

  • High School Diploma or GED (provision of G.E.D. certificate/score sheet)

  • Tests

  • Interview

  • Provision of high school transcript

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Pass drug test

  • $10.00 application fee

Terms of Apprenticeship Training

  • Apprenticeship shall be four (4) years

  • Minimum of 4,800 hours of on-the-job training (1200 hours per year)

  • Minimum of 144 hours of classroom instruction per year

  • Probationary period of 60 days

  • Operates under the “Intent To Hire” Program

  • Indentured to Joint Apprenticeship Committee & Contractor

  • Raises every six months if training hours are secured

Affiliated College(s)

Apprentices of Bricklayers Locals 5 and 16 can receive course credit towards an associate degree in a program offered by Cuyahoga Community College.
