Cleveland Building and Construction Trades Council Executive Secretary Dave Wondolowski discussed the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent decision on the Janus case.
Making his monthly appearance on America’s Work Force Radio, Wondolowski told AWF host Ed “Flash” Ferenc that he was bothered by the President’s nominee of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. Wondolowski said the justices are not protecting the Constitution, but reshaping it.
He said the Janus decision by the court’s conservative majority reshaped the Constitution to fit their ideological position.
They also spoke about Ohio’s governor race.
According to Wondolowski, Republican candidate Mike DeWine has refused to take a stand on So Called “Right to Work.” Rich Cordray, the Democratic Party nominee, has made it clear that is against this terrible legislation. Unlike DeWine, Cordray will stand up and fight for Ohio’s working class.
Wondolowski also talked about a new monthly column he writes in The Labor Citizen called Electing Jobs, Families and Futures First. In his column, he is asks his affiliated members to take a step back from all the issues in their daily lives and vote for what is best for their jobs. Without their jobs, tradesmen and tradeswomen cannot take care of their families, which will result in a bleak future.
Cordray is the one candidate who will fight to protect the future of the state’s working class, he said.
